APPRENTICESHIP SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED – MAHLO

Mahlo congratulates industrial clerks on passing final exam / Stefan Roggenhofer with vocational school’s special award

Three years of total commitment to job and vocational school as well as final exams in various subjects: Industrial clerks must pass these challenges to complete their apprenticeship. The trainees of Mahlo GmbH + Co.KG have now achieved this goal. One even with great success.

“Nobody can take away from you, what you are holding in your hands right now. Congratulations!” With these kind words and the certificate of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Mahlo’s CEO Rainer Mestermann complimented his employees Tanja Fleck and Stefan Roggenhofer. Both have completed their apprenticeship successfully – as well as Daniel Ziegler who couldn’t attend the ceremony due to a job change. But Stefan Roggenhofer’s performance deserves special attention: because of his educational background, he was not only able to shorten his apprenticeship from three years to 21 month, but also got honoured with the ‘Cities’ and Communities’ Award’ by the vocational school Kelheim for his academic achievement. Therefore, he got a certificate and price money at the graduation ceremony.  “Of course we are also happy about his performance”, Mestermann said. But he also praises every apprentice. “Our trainees are all highly motivated and very involved.”

Besides Roggenhofer, Ziegler and Fleck, four other young talents are learning the profession of an industrial clerk. They complete their education dually in the company and the vocational school. During their practical phases at Mahlo, the apprentices are employed in every department. They also have the chance to spend some time in production. A big advantage, Fleck is sure of: “By that, we get an even better handle on our products and processes.” Roggenhofer is especially keen on the trust Mahlo has in its junior staff. “We were soon allowed to work independently and to assume responsibility.” The period of apprenticeship flew by quickly, both agree. Now they are looking forward to their next professional steps at Mahlo. CEO Mestermann, in the name of the management, wished them all the best for their future.

FIRE! HOW TO REACT? MAHLO 2017 / JULIO

Mahlo-Team learned how to extinguish a fire safely

A discarded cigarette stub, an afterglow in the grill or flying sparks: especially during dry, hot summer days one inattentive moment can cause a fire. With a special fire drill, Mahlo employees had the chance to learn how to act correctly in an emergency.

Image

“Reacting quickly and properly can prevent worse things”, says Norbert Thom, fire prevention officer at Mahlo. Even a little fire can spread quickly and become an inferno within minutes. “Many people don’t have the courage to extinguish the fire because they are afraid or don’t know how”. To erase this insecurity, Mahlo officials had organised the fire drill. With a fire training system – provided by Freiwillige Feuerwehr Saal a.d. Donau – Thom introduces his colleagues to the correct handling of a fire extinguisher. A big part of the company’s staff didn’t miss the chance. Thom did not only describe different types of extinguishers and extinguishing agents but also explained the correct behaviour when putting out the fire. Fighting the flames downwind, from front to back and at its most energised point are the most important rules. And first and foremost: never put yourself in danger! If one assess the situations as too risky, better call the local fire department under 112.

Mahlo-CEO Rainer Mestermann set a good example at the drill: courageously, he took a fire extinguisher and fought against the flames. He had to realise they were not ready to give in easily. Based on this experience, the more important is the fire drill, he thinks: “Our employees’ safety is always first. In order to prepare them for the exceptional situation ‘fire’, no matter whether in work or personal life, we organised the fire drill.” A special thanks also goes to the FFW Saal a.d. Donau for their support.

MAHLO GmbH – VIETNAM IN THE UPTREND

Mahlo advises Vietnames customers at Saigontex 2017

For several years now, a clear economic growth of the long-stretched coastal state in Southeast Asia has been evident. There are many reasons for this: the young population (average age about 30 years), the stable growth of the gross domestic product of 6%, the current low inflation rate of just 3.65% are only a few of the main factors.

On the other hand, strong corruption still dominates daily events and the weak currency (become a millionaire with only 50 euros) also means that not everyone feels attracted directly to Vietnam. However, the free trade agreements (of which despite the American notice are still many in force) prove the opposite. And this has consequences: in many areas, high capacity is built up and the economy is boosted. This brings more prosperity to Vietnam, which is also shown by the fact that from time to time a Ferrari tries to squeeze through the multitude of scooters or a Rolls-Royce is embellishing the street scene. In addition, prices for housing in Hanoi can easily be measured with Munich.

Textile industry has gained a strong foothold in Vietnam

The textile industry is an industry that has hit the mark on Vietnam. In the recent past, installations in significant sizes have been installed here. The effects are also evident during the trade fair: While the reasons for the change to Vietnam were initially to be found in the low wage structure, nowadays many people are interested in securing their investments with a high quality awareness.

It goes without saying that the name “Mahlo” is at the top of the list of interested parties. Supported by Binh and his team of Thach Anh Vang, Stephan Kehry has answered the questions of the customers about the latest trends and innovations in the area of straightening machine and process control. The Mahlo approach, with high quality to further reduce costs while still achieving better prices, was very well received very in the light of rising energy prices.

To this extent, Vietnam will continue its march towards economic power in the future. And with the help of Mahlo also with improved quality and optimized textile processes.

30th Vietnam Saigon Textile & Garment Industry Expo

Textile and garment are key economic sectors in Vietnam. Both of them have also a lot of potential for further development. The textile and garment industry has been leading the country’s export turnover, creating a number of jobs and contributing significantly to the Vietnam’s economy.

The Vietnam Textile & Garment Industry Expo is the biggest and the most important event in the country’s textile market. It has taken place over 24 times in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi since the 1990s with great success.
