We are pleased to announce the following organisational news from the KARL MAYER Group:
1. New Beyond Textile business unit founded With effect from 1 January 2021, we are adding a new, sixth business unit to our corporate structure:
Beyond Textile. Our business units (WK, WP, TT, KM.ON and STOLL) are ‘companies within the company’. That means they are responsible for their own business strategies and the results. The Beyond Textile business unit is tasked with opening up new business segments for the company that go beyond the world of textiles. By founding Beyond Textile, we are continuing to follow our strategy for growth.
Oliver Mathews, who currently serves as Vice President Sales and Marketing for the Warp Knitting business unit, will head up the new business unit. We are delighted to have brought such an experienced KARL MAYER Group manager on board to lead this new business unit and get it up and running.
2. Personnel changes in the Warp Knitting business unit Herbert Lohr, President of the Warp Knitting business unit, has decided to begin his well-earned retirement on 31 January 2021 after more than 22 successful years at KARL MAYER, largely spent in various management positions. Herbert Lohr has been in charge of the Warp Knitting business unit since January 2013. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his outstanding work and excellent performance.
Christof Naier will take over leadership of the Warp Knitting business unit on 1 February 2021. Christof Naier has more than 20 years of management experience in various engineering roles. Mr Naier joined KARL MAYER on 1 November 2020. We are so pleased to have found a manager with such far-reaching international experience, including in the textile industry, in Christof Naier.
