Preeminent Exhibition for Plastics
The plastics production in Italy set new records in 2017. With a value of 4.5 billion euros, as many as 900 manufactureres employed 14 000 people. The export rate of 70 per cent of all goods shows that Italian plastic is purchased by converters all over the world who require high quality products.
Italian manufacturers of plastics and rubber processing machinery could be pleased with increasing sales to Germany, France and Spain, three traditionally strong markets. A jump in demands was also recorded for Russia with an increase of 109 per cent and for the African market with 22 per cent.
Now the Italian plastic industry is preparing for its most important exhibition. By gathering the whole industrial chain of plastic from raw material to finished products, PLAST is most prominent European event this year for the plastics and rubber industry. Over 1,100 exhibitors have registered, representing more than forty countries.

Big O-frame, many sensors
The WebPro L traversing frames represent the pinnacle of the Mahlo scanning frame family. They are available in traverse widths of up to 6,6 meters, and can run up to five Mahlo sensors continuously, precisely and rapidly across the online product.
Webpro S
Extremely compact O-frame
The WebPro S traversing frames have been designed specifically to provide an exceedingly compact but rugged and reliable traversing platform for situations where space limitations would rule out the use of a conventional O-frame.
Webpro XS
Compact O-frame for small widths
The traversing frames of the type WebPro XS are used for many applications in various industries and are distinguished especially by their rugged, reliable and compact design. Traversing frames of this type can be used for product widths from 0.2 to max. 2 meters and can accommodate one Mahlo sensor.

Uniscan M
Single-sided measuring frame
The UniScan M or UniScan S traversing frames are the single-sided counterpart to the double-sided O-frames of the WebPro series, and have been specially designed to accommodate the single-sided sensing devices of the Mahlo QMS family.
This single-sided arrangement enables the frame to be easily retrofitted to existing systems, with the measuring sensors arranged above, below or at the side of the measuring frame. The Uniscan M accommodates up to three sensors.

Webpro M
Medium O-frame
WebPro M traversing scanners are found on a wide variety of web processing applications in an assortment of industries, and are legendary for their robust construction and superior reliability providing a low cost of ownership. Scanners of this type can handle products of up to 4 meters in width with up to a total of 3 different measurement sensors.
Their compact design and ultra-precise traverse mechanisms enable them to be installed even where space is at a premium and at any angle to suit the given product/web flow.
Webpro C
C-frame
The traversing frames of the type WebPro C are used for applications where much dirt is generated or the measuring head must be moved completely out of the product web. This type is available for horizontal or vertical product guidance and distinguishes itself by the robust, reliable and dirt-resistant design. It can be vertically employed to a product width of 1.2 metres and one sensor or horizontally of 2 metres and 1 sensor (more upon request).

Fixed measuring point
A fixed measuring point is used in simple applications where no cross-section of the entire web has to be measured.
As standard, the mounting frame consists of aluminum profiles, covers a width of up to 6m and can carry up to 3 sensors. However, other sizes or sensor numbers are readily available upon request.

Transmission of beta rays
The weight monitoring and control system measures the weight continuously, without contact, destruction-free and on moving product. The measurement is based on the attenuation of rays from a radioactive isotope through the substrate located in the measuring gap. This attenuation in intensity is an indication of the weight of the product.
The Gravimat uses a target weight to reduce the range of different m2 weights and thereby ensure a more consistent product.
