CAIPO HISTORY

1963. Bolli Giuseppe founds the company CAIPO in Vallemosso (Biella).
The name CAIPO comes from the acronym: Costruzione Apparecchiature Industriali Pneumatiche Oleodinamiche. The company starts manufacturing pneumatic cylinders and electro-pneumatic attachments for the textile sector, mainly for finishing machinery because of Mr Bolli’s deep experience in this field. The proximity of the many wool mills in Biella, famous around the world, allows developing automation systems for kinds of textile processes.

1968. A terrible landslide hits Vallestrona and the workshop is completely destroyed. The new installation is built on a hill in Frazione Violetto, where we can still find it.

1972. In order to help in the management of the company, the daughter Marilena and his husband Miorelli Alvaro join the company. The international commercial network is developed, with the reinforcement of the European markets, specially, in France, Spain, Yugoslavia and Switzerland.

This is the first machine in the world with such features.

1995. In the spinning sector the system for the production of Core yarns on ring frames is introduced.
